You can start in Marrakech and enjoy the early morning drive or stay locally and start fresh for your hike. There are few places in the world that can combine all the elements to make an adventure truly memorable; this region of Morocco has all of those. Incredible vistas, quality service and accommodation, excellent local food and professional warm, friendly locals. Combine all this with a challenging days trekking between remote adobe Berber villages, fertile valleys and impressive giant peaks and you have all the makings of an excellent experience. Marrakech is the perfect starting point for such an adventure.

Itinerary

Imlil - Tamatert - Ikkiss - Aguersioual

You will be transferred from Marrakech to the mountain village of Imlil to start your day trek. Departure at 8 am from your accommodation to meet your driver, once in Imlil, you will meet your mountain guide.

The group will leave the village of Imlil to reach the pass of Tamatert with our experienced mountain guide and our mule team who will prepare the lunch. The route crosses the road and drops down a zigzag path to the valley floor; they then walk along the Imenane Valley. Lunch will be by the river in a picturesque location. Taking the left side of the valley; they will trek to reach the traditional Berber village of Ikkis (1700m). Recrossing the river valley, the group will continue to Tizi n’Aguersioual Mountain pass (2000m). The path then descends to Aguersioual where transport will take the group to their accommodation.
